About CMC

“Make our customers successful first and our success will follow,” has been and always will be the main focus for Custom Milling & Consulting LLC, Founded in 1998 by Carl Yerger and Joseph Zidik, CMC began as a small toll processing company that specialized in particle size reduction of materials in a liquid form. By staying true to what we believe, CMC has been able to grow and expand over the years to meet our customers needs.

Our motto is what has carried us through the years and inspires us to think of new ways to serve our customers, and in 2004 we established our very own Equipment Division. The first piece of equipment we built was a horizontal media mill and from there we have engineered and manufactured batch mills, mixers, high shear dispersers and more. We have a team of engineers and technicians with years of experience and expertise in this field, that work with our customers every day to ensure they have a machine that works for them. As the division grew so did we, and in 2010 an additional facility was built that is dedicated to assembling and constructing equipment. The facility also houses our Pilot Lab, in order to give customers the ability to test out CMC’s equipment first hand and really see what we can do for them.

We are unique in comparison to other companies because we are a full service processing company and we understand your production and the limitations you may encounter in your own facility. As you grow your needs can change from outsourcing production to bringing everything in house and CMC can make that transition easy for you by duplicating the exact process set up, because we use our very own mills in our production facility. If you develop new product and want to run a small batch without investing in all new equipment CMC will still be here to help you no matter how small the project is.

In 2014, we broke ground on what is now known as the Carl D. Yerger Logistics center. We noticed that our customers were beginning to develop specialty chemicals that required additional run times and needed very specific processing parameters. To meet those needs and to continue to keep our customers happy, we invested in cGMP room so we can develop and test small batches in a sterile environment. This facility also offers on-site warehousing for raw materials and finished product as well additional toll processing for large to production size batches.
